Let me tell you about my morning exercise—something I haven’t done in many-many years. But instead of telling you what happened, I’m going to tell you what shouldn’t have happened.
First, I shouldn’t have gone back to sleep at 6 a.m. and woke up at nine. I know in some part of the world, exercising at nine or ten is still okay, but here in Jakarta? Someone can get heat stroke from running around at ten in the morning.
I shouldn’t have taken a shower before jogging. Waking up at nine is bad enough, but instead of putting on my shoes and start running, I……. took a shower. Yes people, I took a shower before I jog—shouldn’t have done that. I mean seriously, who would take a shower before working out instead of the other way around? To come and think about it, this is one of the stupidest things I have ever done -__________-
I shouldn’t have even thought about doing morning exercise. Besides waking up at seven, my other big plan was to jog around the building and around the bridge near this building. But just like my other big plans, it sunk right down the toilet. You wanna know why? First of all, I didn’t run nor jog, I just walk in a slightly faster pace. I thought it would be ridiculous to see someone jogging around at that time of hour. O wait, I did run that one time when I was crossing the street. It was either run or got hit by a taxi. Second of all, I didn’t go around the building, I went straight to the Mc Donald. I was hungry you know so I figure why don’t I stop at mc Donald now and jog later. (that was stupid). Third of all and the most humiliating fact is that I bought an ice cream—yes people, I bought Mc Flurry to be exact. I was allergic to cold, I haven’t had breakfast, I thought I was doing morning exercise, but I bought an ice cream. On my way back from mc Donald, in the spirit of morning exercise, I took a rather long way home. Okay, I didn’t, the sun was getting high and I don’t want my ice cream to melt, so I went straight back home.
